The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, inaugurated the Clean Energy Project at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, adding to the series of projects representing the achievements of Al-Qadisiyah University and its constituent colleges.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul Hassan Al-Fatlawi, the Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Bashir Shaker Al-Awadi, his academic and administrative deputies, a number of faculty members and staff, and the college’s engineering team. The ceremony included speeches praising the efforts of the college’s administration in supporting and developing the infrastructure and supplying the electrical grid and classrooms with a solar panel project. The project, comprising 54 solar panels with a capacity of 170 amps, contributes to the initiative to reduce energy consumption and emissions, and protects the environment. It also implements the principles of isoenergy, which aims to utilize natural resources and benefit from their outputs.
This comes as part of Al-Qadisiyah University’s achievements, which strive to provide the best to enhance the academic landscape and the university environment.
