Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course titled (Management of Medical Waste and Hazardous Materials and How to Dispose of Them), presented by M.M. Ruqayya Hussein Abdul Muhammad and M.M. Manar Hamid Mandil.
The course aimed to raise environmental awareness among health workers and enhance their abilities to deal with hazardous medical waste, providing a safe environment for workers and visitors within the health center, and how to handle medical waste and hazardous materials.
The course recommended encouraging and training workers in the use of medical devices and equipment to avoid creating unnecessary waste and to manage hazardous waste as close as possible to its point of origin.
