The lecturer, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Fahd Fahim Al-Karaawi, won first place in patents for engineering and technology sciences among the Iraqi governmental and private universities competing in the Science Day Award for the year 2023. It is noteworthy that this victory is within the branch of patents and intellectual property for his invention of a new engineering method for examining engineering materials under different and complex possibilities, published in the United States of America. It is noteworthy that the applicants for the award are researchers from various Iraqi private and governmental universities, and the evaluation was carried out by higher ministerial committees, and that the award is the second to be granted to the College of Engineering in this specialization since its establishment.
