Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Ta’ima Abdul-Kadhim, Lecturer Dr. Dhafer Al-Hajim, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Thamer Ahmed published a joint research paper titled “Residual Convolutional Neural Network with Vision Transformer for Lung Nodule Classification” in the International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology (IMA), published by Wiley.

The research explored the development of an innovative model based on artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques, called “Residual Convolutional Neural Network with Vision Transformer for Lung Nodule Classification.” This model combines residual convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with vision transformers to improve the early detection and accurate classification of lung nodules in computed tomography (CT) scans.

It is worth noting that the International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology (IMA) is a reputable American journal indexed in Clarivate and Scopus, ranking in the first quartile (Q1) and possessing an impact factor. (Impact Factor = 3.00 and Cite Score = 6.3)
