the College of Pharmacy at Al-Qadisiyah University inaugurated its “Entrepreneurship Week” activities. This week included a range of scientific and awareness-raising activities aimed at promoting entrepreneurial thinking, supporting innovation, and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.
The first day featured several events with the participation of a select group of professors and students, in an interactive atmosphere that reflected the college’s commitment to developing students’ skills and encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives.
A panel discussion was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Awliya Jabbar Sahib, titled “The Legal Frameworks for Entrepreneurship.” A workshop was also conducted by Lecturer Mu’taz Al-Sabah on a medical strategy aimed at eradicating a serious genetic disease. This strategy involves screening the blood cholesterol levels of young people preparing for marriage to determine their risk of developing the disease and providing them with options to avoid having a child with this serious form of the illness. The pharmaceutical marketing workshop was presented by practicing pharmacist Mohammed Adnan.
The activities of Entrepreneurship Week will continue in the coming days, including specialized workshops and a closing exhibition showcasing the participants’ work, emphasizing the role of the academic institution in supporting creativity and building an active entrepreneurial generation in society.
