Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Makki Jabbar, a faculty member at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University, published a research paper titled “Evaluating the Water Quality of the Diwaniyah River Using the Pollution Index (NPI)” in the prestigious international journal, Kufa Journal of Engineering. The study aimed to evaluate the impact of pollution on water quality and sustainability using the Pollution Index (NPI) based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and Regression Analysis (RA). It sought to identify critical water performance criteria for a section of the river within the study area, clarifying the characteristics and stations contributing to the river’s pollution.
