The Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the College of Medicine, Al-Qadisiyah University, held a scientific symposium entitled “Women’s Health and Early Detection of Cancerous Diseases.” Presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Balsam Qahtan Muhammad and Asst. Prof. Haifa Hussein Muhammad, the symposium emphasized the importance of early diagnosis of gynecological diseases for a number of diseases and conditions. Early diagnosis allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent disease progression and increase response to treatment. For women in particular, early diagnosis can be life-saving and positively impact long-term health outcomes. Therefore, women should undergo regular health checkups and screening tests to detect potential health problems early. This is an important step in protecting their long-term health and well-being.
