Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine..
The Department of Surgery and Obstetrics at the College held a training course on: Synthesis of nanomaterials.
The course was attended by:
Professor Amer Ibrahim Tawfiq
Assistant Professor Qais Tarf Ali
Assistant Professor Muslim Fahim Diwan.
The course aims to: Introduce the nanoscale material that acquires exceptional electrical, optical and magnetic properties and characteristics due to the new arrangement that the atoms take.
The course included: Addressing how to manufacture nanomaterials, which were divided into two main sections, one from top to bottom (Top-down), where the original material (large) is broken down little by little until reaching the nano size. Several methods are used to achieve this, including: cutting, grinding and fragmentation. The second method starts from the bottom up (up – Bottom), where the nanomaterial is built from atoms and molecules arranged to reach the required nanoscale shape and size. In general, the methods of synthesizing nanomaterials are chemical, physical and biological methods through which nanomaterials can be obtained and used in medicine and veterinary treatment. The course recommended: The physical method is the fastest and least expensive method that guarantees obtaining nanomaterials below one hundred nanometers.
