Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. As’ad Hassan Al-Zaydi, the College of Pharmacy held a training workshop on the technique of using automatic micropipettes, with the participation of several fifth-year students in the laboratory of pathological analyses at the college. The workshop was presented by M.M. Nihad Sabah Al-Din Saber, M.M. Hiba Hamid Zidan, M.M. Rasel Hamza Kamel, and M.M. Zainab Jawad Majid.
The workshop aimed to enable students to master the use of micropipettes in drawing and transferring precise volumes of liquids, which is a fundamental skill in medical laboratories. The focus was on different types of pipettes, such as single-channel and multi-channel pipettes, and identifying factors affecting measurement accuracy, such as errors resulting from volume adjustment, contamination of tips, and the presence of air bubbles. Theoretical knowledge was applied to practical examples, such as training on drawing different volumes of liquids, to illustrate the importance of precision in drawing accurate volumes for conducting laboratory experiments.
