Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the college held a workshop titled “The Necessary Means for Writing a Literature Review in a Thesis or Dissertation.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Basma Jassim and Assistant Professor Dr. Aseel Abdul-Ridha Saeed.
The objectives of the workshop included understanding the concept of a literature review, as well as the methods used in writing a literature review. The workshop also aimed to inform graduate students about the importance of literature reviews: the significance of sources and references in scientific research lies in their role as the materials needed by the researcher to enrich and accomplish their scientific research accurately and methodically, which enjoys greater credibility through the diversity of sources and references. A literature review in scientific research is essential, as it helps place the research within the context of previous studies and highlights the importance of the topic and research tools.
