The course aimed to familiarize participants with the diagnostic methods for lameness cases in various animals. It included an introduction to lameness as an abnormal gait or stance due to either structural or functional disorders of the locomotor system.
The course also covered methods for diagnosing lameness, including understanding the case history, clinical examination, and observing the animal’s movement and stance. Diagnosis may sometimes require the use of local anesthesia or radiographic imaging.
