Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sattar Abdul Hassan Al-Fatlawi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Nabil Imran Al-Khalidi, along with the attendance of several deans of colleges, representatives from the Popular Mobilization Forces, and university and college faculty and students, the College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Popular Mobilization Forces in Diwaniya, held its first annual festival on the occasion of the Great Victory Day, commemorating the martyrs of the Speicher massacre. The festival began with the recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran by reader Dr. Ahmed Yahya, followed by the national anthem and the recitation of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, whose sacrifices and pure blood made this great victory possible.
Then, the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Nabil Imran Al-Khalidi, delivered a speech praising the significant role of the Popular Mobilization Forces and our brave forces in driving out the remnants of terrorism and the Takfiri Daesh, as well as honoring our noble martyrs who sacrificed their pure blood. Following that, a speech from the Popular Mobilization Forces was delivered by Mr. Ismail Al-Awadi, who spoke about the role of the wise religious authority and the victories of the Popular Mobilization Forces. The festival also included the screening of videos narrating the story of the land liberated thanks to its heroic sons and about the martyrs of Speicher, as well as the opening of an exhibition of photographs of the martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Diwaniya.
