The Business Administration Department at the College of Administration and Economics at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a workshop titled “Methods and Approaches of Scientific Research,” presented by Professor Dr. Asil Ali Mazhar.
The workshop aimed to clarify the most important methods classified by Whitney, which include the descriptive method that relates to studying problems in human and social fields as well as various natural phenomena. The researcher collects accurate information about the phenomenon and focuses on providing a precise interpretive description based on the available facts, expressing it qualitatively by describing the phenomenon and clarifying its characteristics, or quantitatively by providing a numerical description that illustrates the magnitude or size of the phenomenon and its degrees of correlation with other different phenomena.
The workshop concluded with a set of results, including that the scientific researcher should be precise in choosing the method that builds the overall structure of their research; there are no accurate results unless the researcher selects a scientific method to follow in order to achieve the desired outcomes.
