The Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Qadisiyah University held an awareness lecture titled “Bullying… Its Types and Causes,” presented by M.M. Mohannad Fadel Abdul Sada.
The lecture aimed to define bullying, its causes, and types such as harassment or physical and verbal assault, highlighting the motivations behind bullying and its forms, as well as ways to respond to bullies. The lecture addressed several topics, including promoting good behaviors within the university campus, raising the cultural level of students, and its reflection on university life and its impact on students’ lives at home and in the street. It also emphasized the importance of conveying university culture to others, adhering to public decorum, considering the feelings of others, drawing attention, and striving for belonging and rivalry among university students, which is an extension of school bullying and one of the main reasons for bullying among students, along with how to deal with it when a person is subjected to bullying.
