The Materials Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a workshop titled “Design of Automatic Elevators” in the Continuing Education Unit hall, presented by Dr. Marwa Ghazi Karim. The workshop addressed how to design elevators and the integration of mechanical components such as cables and movements, along with electronic components like microcontrollers and electronics. Elevators are programmed to provide an excellent user experience with the best quality based on speed and accuracy in determining the optimal design and the required precision of their operation. Additionally, elevators are designed in a highly technical manner to be user-friendly and simple, incorporating safety features such as alarm devices and emergency systems. Furthermore, aesthetic design is considered to align with the type of building, whether residential or commercial. Economic, sustainable, and durable energy considerations are taken into account for long-term operation.
