Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al-Askari, the college organized a course titled “Characterization of Materials Using Scanning Electron Microscopy Technology,” presented by Professor Dr. Ahmed Kazem Al-Saffar, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mahmoud Taher, and Assistant Professor Dr. Haidar Mohammed Hassoun.
The course aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technology and its working mechanism in analyzing and studying materials, with a focus on precise sample preparation to obtain high-quality results. The course also seeks to train participants in interpreting microscopic images and analyzing the accompanying data, in addition to reviewing SEM applications in studying the microstructure and chemical composition of materials, including nanomaterials, metals, and polymers.
