Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Public Health Department at the College held a scientific symposium entitled (Biosensor), in which Prof. Dr. Basma Jassim and Asst. Dr. Arwa Mutab Fajjah lectured. The symposium aimed to identify biosensor devices, their importance, mechanism of action, types, and how to use them in many areas related to food health and how to use them in diagnosing pathogenic bacteria in food samples. The symposium also included a detailed explanation of the importance of technology in detecting the health of canned foods and their safety from pathogenic bacteria and the possibility of using these sensors in food factories. The symposium recommended the possibility of a practical link between graduate students and food factories and working to develop a biosensor specifically for detecting food contamination and environmental pollution as well.
