Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nabil Imran Al-Khalidi, the College of Arts organized a seminar titled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Higher Education in Iraq,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Hossam Adnan Al-Yasiri, with the session managed by Professor Dr. Haider Habib Hamza.
The seminar aimed to highlight the impact of academic entrepreneurship in light of the achievements of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, academic innovation in light of horizontal and vertical development in higher education, the leadership of academic programs and their quality in light of scientific standards, and the development of scientific departments in light of the entrepreneurial labor market and the impact of future program planning on scientific research and innovation in the humanities colleges in light of knowledge advancement.
The seminar concluded with a set of recommendations, including the amendment of some traditional laws in the ministry to favor qualitative advancement suitable for the labor market, and the advancement of public universities according to academic entrepreneurship requiring local, regional, and international scientific twinning, as well as encouraging qualitative innovation for students and academics together to achieve entrepreneurial academic quality.
