Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al-Iraqi, and on the occasion of the Iraqi Drug Prevention Week, the College of Science conducted a scientific seminar on the drug epidemic, featuring presentations by Dr. Lujain Ibrahim Hussein, Mr. Taef Muthar Muslim, and Mr. Karim Salman.
The seminar aimed to define drugs and their types, explain the harms of drugs on the human body, and discuss the behavioral phenomena that arise from drug use, specifically the dependency syndrome.
The seminar recommended increasing awareness and education about the harms of drugs, the importance of enhancing personal skills, managing stress, and the necessity of strengthening family relationships.
