Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Al-Askari, and on the occasion of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the College of Science held a scientific symposium entitled (Solar Energy and Sustainable Development), in which Dr. Lujain Ibrahim Hussein and Dr. Arjwan Abdul-Hadi Mahoud lectured. The symposium aimed to introduce the importance of solar energy and its effective role in producing electrical energy and employing it in sustainable development, as it is one of the renewable and permanent resources in the country. It is also considered a clean and environmentally friendly energy source, in addition to providing job opportunities for the community. The symposium recommended encouraging the use of this technology and supporting it by the governmental and private sectors because it is considered clean and sustainable energy.
