Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Biological Technologies, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al-Iraqi, the College of Biological Technologies at Al-Qadisiyah University held a seminar titled (Drugs: A Constant Danger Threatening the Future of Youth and Society, Its Effects and Harms, and Prevention Methods) presented by Assistant Lecturer Heba Adnan Al-Moussawi.
The seminar aimed to reduce the phenomenon of drug abuse among youth and highlighted the dangers of drugs, which are one of the most significant challenges facing young people in modern societies, as they lead to the destruction of the future of younger generations and affect their mental and physical health, threatening community security and leaving negative impacts on the future of young generations.
In light of this growing challenge, the seminar recommended that governmental and civil institutions intensify their efforts to combat this phenomenon, alongside calls for unified regional and international cooperation to limit the spread of drugs and protect Iraqi society from its dire consequences.
