The Graduate Studies Department, in collaboration with the specific department at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University, organized an in-person scientific workshop titled “Research Result Writing Skills,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Sinan Abdul Hamza.
The workshop aimed to introduce the most important methods and techniques used in formulating research results in university theses and dissertations in the field of law and its various branches. The legal research results, as a component of the conclusion, are considered a crucial element of the research.
The workshop concluded that formulating research results and paying attention to their organization enhances the ability to articulate the objectives of the legal research steps undertaken by the researcher. The main challenge in legal research results is that the researcher must encapsulate the essence of the entire study in concise paragraphs while adhering to a solid linguistic formulation that encompasses the fundamental ideas of the research.
The workshop recommended that researchers should formulate the results of their thesis or dissertation by avoiding merely summarizing the thesis. Instead, the result should reflect a unique research effort within the text of the thesis. It also emphasized that the results should have scientific value and contribute to clarifying an existing legal problem or one that may arise in the future.
