Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and supervised by Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, a workshop was held on high-calorie fast food and how to prepare it from animal sources, presented by M.M. Suhad Fahim Sabhan and M.M. Ahmad Rahim Al-Aboudi.
The workshop addressed the spread of fast food in recent years, referred to by terms such as cafeteria meals and those characterized by high fats and carbohydrates, and their impact on metabolism. It is considered one of the sources of obesity according to reports from the World Health Organization and its effects on school students in terms of retention, education, diabetes, and early hypertension, in addition to its role in accelerating diseases such as Alzheimer’s according to research and sources. Therefore, it is essential to focus on studying these cases and their effects through laboratory scientific studies.
