Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Anatomy and Tissue at the college held a discussion session on the correctness of the Arabic language in official correspondence, presented by Assistant Lecturer Mona Ni’ma Jabar.
The session included a discussion on the importance of administrative correspondence for each state institution, as it represents the good image of that institution. Therefore, the presence of linguistic errors in correspondence distorts that good image. Official documents hold great importance, as they are among the most essential organizational tools without which administrative work in various institutions would be impossible, serving as a link between administrations and individuals, and a means of conveying information and ideas from one institution to another for circulation or judgment to achieve intended goals.
The session recommended the necessity of using eloquent vocabulary in official documents and avoiding colloquial expressions, as well as holding discussion sessions and workshops on the correctness of the Arabic language in various institutions continuously to preserve the Arabic language from loss.
