Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al-Iraqi, the College of Science organized a scientific seminar titled “Recycling Project,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Taif Muthar Muslim and Assistant Lecturer Khatam Ibrahim Mohammed.
The seminar aimed to introduce recycling, as it reduces reliance on extracting raw materials from nature, thus preserving natural resources. Recycling old and used materials decreases landfill space, which in turn limits water and land pollution, as these landfills significantly contribute to environmental degradation.
The seminar recommended encouraging investment in developing waste recycling projects and producing energy from them. The flourishing field of recycling creates job opportunities for hundreds of thousands of individuals, in addition to supporting sustainable industries.
