The College of Education at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a scientific symposium on the phenomenon of the spread of drugs, awareness, causes and treatments

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Sattar Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, the Educational Guidance and Counseling Unit at the College of Education held a scientific symposium entitled (The Phenomenon of the Spread of Drugs: Awareness, Causes and Treatments) in which Assistant Professor Dr. Khaled Abu Jassim, Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Talib Abdul-Kazem, and Assistant Professor Ruqayya Maaraj lectured. The drug was defined as taking a narcotic substance, whether chemical or natural, that affects the individual and hinders his life and turns it into hell. There are types of it, including chemical substances, medicines or natural substances, such as hashish and Captagon, and means such as narcotic drinks. The most important treatments are emphasizing the spiritual and religious aspect in stating the prohibition of taking these substances and stating the importance of the family’s role in monitoring and verifying the behavior of children and the role of the media in clarifying the dangers of this phenomenon and its impact on the individual and society, as well as emphasizing the role of the law in reducing the spread of trafficking in these substances.
