The legal unit at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a training seminar titled “Protecting Public Employees from the Risks of Corruption,” presented by Dr. Ali Abdul Sada Jazei. The seminar aimed to focus on legally protecting employees and the necessity of their familiarity with the State Employees Disciplinary Law No. (14) of 1991 and the Code of Conduct; as both have an impact on raising their awareness and protecting them from the risks of committing errors that may lead to exceeding their job boundaries or committing corruption crimes and facing penalties as a result.
The seminar concluded with the necessity of performing public duties with integrity and a high sense of responsibility, and refraining from exploiting public office for personal gain, while adhering to the laws and regulations established to organize the work of state departments according to the services they provide.
The seminar recommended the importance of informing employees about the laws specific to their institutions and enhancing their legal culture, which contributes to increasing the employee’s commitment to legal rules and good conduct while performing their job duties, as well as their awareness of their rights as stipulated by law.
