The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific workshop titled “The Impact of Cellular Communication Towers on Public Health” in the Continuing Education Unit hall, presented by Prof. Dr. Mousa Hadi Wali and Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Mazen Maki.
The workshop aimed to evaluate research and studies from all experts and researchers to assess the latest scientific research and studies on the impact of communication towers on public health. The workshop highlighted the need for further studies, especially in areas with a high density of communication towers, and the establishment of stricter standards for measuring permissible radiation levels, as well as the development of new technologies to reduce radiation emitted from the towers. Additionally, it emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about potential risks and preventive measures, as well as developing regulatory policies to ensure the safety of citizens.
It is worth mentioning that this workshop is part of the activities of the College of Engineering during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
