Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Sciences, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al-Iraqi, the Psychological and Social Guidance Unit in the College of Sciences organized a seminar titled “Youth Suicide: Causes and Treatments,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Bushra Hamid Hassan Al-Issami.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the phenomenon of suicide, study the causes leading to it, and raise awareness among youth. It also provided a definition of suicide, its psychological and social causes, cultural conditions, as well as substance abuse.
The seminar recommended addressing the phenomenon of suicide by eliminating social and psychological problems, raising youth awareness of the dangers of this phenomenon, and improving the economic environment.
