Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, held a workshop titled “Biodiversity” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Warka Mohammed, Assistant Professor Dr. Ashwaq Shakir, Assistant Professor Dr. Dana Mishal, and Assistant Professor Dr. Widad Abdul Jawad.
The workshop aimed to define biodiversity, highlight its importance, and identify the factors affecting the diversity of living organisms, in addition to clarifying the principles and levels of their classification. The workshop also recommended the necessity of understanding modern taxonomic keys for various living organisms to achieve accurate and rapid diagnoses and to publish a scientific guide in accordance with what international organizations adopt.
