Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Aqil Rahim Al-Barqawi, the College of Medicine organized a training workshop entitled (How to Evaluate International Journals According to the Current Instructions), in which Dr. Ahmed Ghadhban Thaban lectured. The workshop discussed that evaluating international scientific journals is a necessary process to ensure the quality of research and published content. This evaluation includes a set of standards and practices that help researchers and readers choose the appropriate journals to publish their research or review studies. The workshop also highlighted some of the main aspects that are taken into account when evaluating journals, namely the impact factor, which measures the number of citations received by articles published in a particular journal during a specific period of time. Journals with a high impact factor are usually considered more influential in their fields. The peer review process, which is journals that follow a strict arbitration process where research is evaluated by experts in the field before publication, is considered more reliable. The type of arbitration (double, single, or open) also plays a role in the quality of the content
