The legal unit, in collaboration with the continuing education unit at the College of Law, organized the seminar titled “Administrative Investigation Autonomy with University Service Employees,” presented by Dr. Ali Abdul Sada Jazeer.
The seminar aimed to highlight the autonomy of administrative investigations with university service employees as an important legal guarantee established by law for public employees in general, including university service employees. Since the occurrence of professional misconduct is among the matters related to public employment, it constitutes behavior outside the norm.
The seminar recommended the necessity of considering the status of university service employees in both formal and substantive aspects, to provide the necessary guarantees for their protection against the possibility of abuse by the investigative committee, whether intentionally for personal reasons or unintentionally, as ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
