A scientific workshop was held at the College of Administration and Economics at Al-Qadisiyah University as part of the research skills development program for graduate students in the research phase, titled “How to Write the Methodology for Master’s Theses or Doctoral Dissertations.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Qisma Saber Awad and Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Hamid Noor.
The workshop aimed to introduce the rigorous scientific methodology in building a purposeful and distinguished scientific research, as it is one of the essential steps in guiding the researcher to implement the thesis clearly and accurately. This must be formulated within a specific framework of procedures to achieve the goal that the researcher aims to reach. The methodology is formulated based on the nature of the thesis topic and includes several sections, the most important of which is after determining the thesis topic (which must be chosen carefully). It is essential to clarify the purpose of writing the thesis and identify the problem to be addressed, along with potential solutions to the problem represented by hypotheses or questions that the researcher seeks to answer through their research in sources and information. It is also important to highlight the significance of the topic from both scientific and practical perspectives, which requires the researcher to review and research previous sources and references and to understand the key findings of previous researchers regarding the thesis topic to avoid repetition, with the necessity of accurately documenting the references and literature with scientific integrity.
