The Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a cultural workshop titled “Freedom of Expression and Its Limits Between Rights and Responsibilities” in the Continuing Education Unit hall, presented by M.M. Nadia Kazem Awad Al-Zamili.
The workshop aimed to highlight freedom of opinion and expression as one of the fundamental rights enjoyed by individuals, which holds special importance in democratic societies and is considered a prerequisite for the advancement and openness of society.
The workshop indicated that freedom of expression is one of the important topics in today’s world, due to its impact on contemporary intellectual, political, economic, and social life. Through freedom, shortcomings and flaws are revealed, as experiential and observational insights emerge through logical and realistic expressions of critical perspectives.
