The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Women at Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Family Counseling Center affiliated with the Holy Hussaini Shrine in Diwaniya, organized a scientific seminar titled “Violence Against Women in Iraqi Society.” The seminar featured presentations by Dr. Rana Shayeh Mohsen, Dr. Fatima Hwan Mohammed, Assistant Lecturer Sara Sabah Hamza, Assistant Lecturer Nebras Ali Shial, Assistant Lecturer Ibtisam Naama Al-Mahna, and Ms. Maryam Hashim Sharmahi.
The seminar aimed to discuss violence against women and identify the underlying causes, including low education levels, poor living and economic conditions, high unemployment, and the disparity in educational levels between men and women.
