The Public Law Department at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University organized the seminar titled “Intellectual Security and Its Role in Fortifying Society Against Moral Deviations,” featuring presentations by Dr. Ali Abdul Sada Jaezi, Dr. Leila Hamza Radi, and Dr. Ali Hamza Jabr.

The seminar aimed to define intellectual security, outline various means to fortify society, and highlight the implications of strengthening and activating intellectual security.

The seminar concluded that intellectual security is a spiritual, psychological, and mental feeling that does not conflict with the religion, principles, ideals, and morals that individuals and society believe in, and does not negatively affect the thoughts and lives of others. It ensures the soundness of a person’s mind and understanding, protecting them from deviations and straying from moderation in their understanding of religious and political matters, which could lead to extremism.

The seminar recommended adopting moderate thinking, distancing oneself from extremism and radicalism, and choosing moderation as a means for dialogue among different cultures.
