Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Aqeel Abed, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Archaeology, University of Al-Qadisiyah, collaborated with translator Zainab Al-Muzaidawi on the translation and review of the book *Cuneiform*.

The book was authored by Irving Finkel and Jonathan Taylor—researchers specializing in cuneiform studies—and was recently released by the British Museum.

It explores the origins of cuneiform script in Mesopotamia and its evolution throughout history, the mechanics of writing and reading it, its spread across the societies of the ancient Near East, and its role in preserving and documenting various aspects of political, economic, social, and intellectual life.

This scholarly contribution is part of the ongoing efforts by faculty members at the College of Archaeology, University of Al-Qadisiyah, to translate specialized academic works into Arabic, thereby enriching the resources available to researchers and students in the fields of archaeology and cuneiform studies.

In Iraq, the book has been published by Nippur House for Printing, Publishing, and Distribution.
