The book was co-authored with Professor Ashraf Hashim Faris Al-Abdoon and Assistant Lecturer Ali Hussein Mohammed Al-Rikabi, with a review provided by Professor Ali Abdul-Hussein Hani.

The book aims to serve as a comprehensive academic and professional reference, elucidating International Auditing Standards, their professional framework, and their contemporary applications. It seeks to enhance the understanding of the requirements and mechanisms for implementing these standards in practice, thereby contributing to the improvement of professional performance quality and the execution of audit engagements in accordance with international standards.

The book consists of twelve chapters, with topics presented in a systematic, scholarly manner that bridges theoretical foundations with practical application, while keeping pace with recent developments in the accounting and auditing environment. In preparing this book, care was taken to ensure a clear writing style, a coherent presentation of the subject matter, and an accessible approach to professional concepts. This makes it a valuable resource for undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and university faculty, as well as for accountants, auditors, and professionals working in the field of auditing.
