Assistant Professors Dr. Haider Kadhim Abbas Al-Saadi and Dr. Widad Abdul-Jawad, faculty members at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University, have published a research paper in the *Tropical Journal of Natural Product Research*. This is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.

The research is titled “Biosynthesis of Molybdenum Nanoparticles as a Multifunctional Anti-Cancer Platform: Modulating Apoptosis and Inflammation Mechanisms in SiHa Cervical Cancer Cells.” It focuses on the biosynthesis of molybdenum trioxide nanoparticles (α-MoO₃ NPs) using cinnamon extract as both a reducing and stabilizing agent.

The study’s significance lies in the development of a multifunctional anti-cancer nanoplatform based on the green synthesis of molybdenum nanoparticles using cinnamon. It combines anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory effects while investigating the molecular mechanisms associated with apoptosis.
