The Department of Materials Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized training course entitled “Nanotechnology in Sustainable Energy Applications” in the Continuing Education Hall. The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Duha Falah Taklif.

The course aimed to keep pace with global scientific developments in the field of clean energy and to encourage researchers to direct their scientific projects towards sustainable solutions that support the environment and reduce carbon emissions. The course also addressed the concept of nanotechnology, highlighting the unique properties of materials when their size is reduced to the nanoscale, and how to utilize these properties to improve the efficiency of traditional materials. It also reviewed the role of nanomaterials in improving the performance of solar cells to increase the efficiency of light absorption and its conversion into electrical energy.
