The Volunteer Work Division of the Student Activities Department launched a volunteer initiative to plant trees in the university’s main gardens. This initiative saw the active participation of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hamza Al-Hashimi, along with a group of university students and staff, and in cooperation with several colleges and supporting departments.
The initiative included the first phase of planting trees in the university’s main gardens, which involved planting a number of seedlings and plants to increase green spaces and create an aesthetically pleasing and civilized environment that reflects the spirit of cooperation and belonging among students and university staff. The campaign was meticulously implemented by the Student Activities Department/Volunteer Work Division, in coordination with the Administrative Affairs Department and the Agricultural Unit. Participants contributed to the volunteer work with a high sense of responsibility and dedication, emphasizing the importance of volunteerism in serving the university community and fostering a spirit of initiative among students.
This initiative comes in response to the university administration’s directives aimed at supporting environmental and volunteer activities and encouraging students to actively participate in projects that serve the public interest and enhance the beauty of the university environment.
The campaign organizers also affirmed their commitment to continuing to launch volunteer and environmental initiatives in the coming period, contributing to the consolidation of a culture of volunteerism and teamwork within the university.
