The Scientific Complex at the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine continues to hold its sessions for intellectual and cognitive dialogue in the Internal Sections Affairs Department at Al-Qadisiyah University within the Quranic Project in Iraqi Universities.
Sheikh Asaad Al-Nawfali lectured this week, and in his lecture he discussed the depth of Islamic understanding through enlightenment with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the approach of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as they are an essential window to learn about the spiritual and intellectual values in Islam.
Al-Nawfali stressed the importance of openness to other thought and understanding it, which contributes to expanding the horizons of the university student and enhancing his abilities to dialogue and accept others.
After the lecture, an interactive dialogue session was held, focusing on the most important foundations of Islamic belief, and discussions on the questions raised by the participating students, which included multiple axes, such as jurisprudential, doctrinal, social and intellectual aspects. This interaction added enriching dimensions to the session.
