Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidy, the College of Pharmacy, as part of the University’s Sustainable Development Week activities, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Media and its Role in Sustainable Development.” The workshop targeted first-year students and was presented by Assistant Lecturers Rawad Fadhil Abdul, Wissam Karim Rashid, and Ali Qahtan Faleh.
The workshop addressed the importance of media in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals by raising public awareness, highlighting environmental and health issues, and promoting positive behaviors among individuals. The workshop also addressed the role of traditional and digital media in shaping public opinion towards adopting sustainability concepts, as well as showcasing successful media campaigns that have contributed to achieving sustainable development across various sectors.
