Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidy, the College of Pharmacy organized a scientific course entitled “Recycling Pharmaceutical Waste” for third-year students. The course was presented by Assistant Lecturers Lama Safaa Al-Din and Tabarak Khalid Hassan.
The course aimed to highlight the pharmacist’s role in the safe handling of expired and unused medications and to promote awareness of best practices that contribute to reducing environmental and health risks. It also emphasized the pharmacist’s responsibility in raising community awareness and reducing medication misuse. This course aims to enhance the pharmacist’s role as a key element in protecting public health and the environment
