The College of Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University held its fourth international medical conference entitled:
(Scientific Research is Our Path to a Sound Academic and Healthy Future)
The opening proceedings, which were attended by a distinguished elite of researchers, academics, media professionals, deans of colleges and officials of government institutions, included the opening with the national anthem and the Holy Quran and the opening speech of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Kadhim Al-Jubouri, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Aqil Al-Barqawi, and a speech by the Dean of the Diwaniyah Doctors Syndicate, Dr. Nidaa Al-Waili, and a documentary presentation of the achievements of the university and the Urban College.
The opening lecture, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Thaer Wali, Head of the Anatomy Department, and moderated by Professor Dr. Adel Musa Al-Rikabi and decided by Professor Dr. Rahi Al-Yasiri, witnessed a large attendance and interaction due to the importance of its topic on the development of medicine and future aspirations. The conference hosted (150) distinguished academic scientific research papers and international participations from the United Kingdom, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and distinguished research participations from prestigious Iraqi universities.
