Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul-Amir Abdul-Fattlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the college’s Sustainable Development Unit held a scientific symposium entitled “Green Innovation: Sustainable Solutions in the University Environment.” The symposium featured presentations by Professor Dr. Arouba Mutab Fajja, Professor Dr. Haifa Jumaa Hassan, and Professor Dr. Basma Jassim Mohammed.

The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of green innovation and its role in achieving sustainable development. Among its key findings was that green innovation, with its two components (green technology innovation and green management innovation), aims to achieve a duality of competitive advantage and environmental sustainability. The symposium also demonstrated how green innovation can contribute to achieving sustainable development goals in the economic, social, and environmental spheres. This, in turn, allows for meeting the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs
