Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yassiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Nabil Omran Al-Khalidi, the Department of Geography at the College of Arts, Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the National Security Service, held a training course entitled “Geographic Information Systems (GIS).” The course was presented by Professor Dr. Rafid Musa Abdul, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Naji Abbas, Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Marzouq Rasen, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abeer Adnan.
The training course aimed to enhance the skills and training of National Security Service personnel in using GIS technologies. This included mastering the fundamentals of mapping and georeferencing, working with spatial databases, analyzing geographic data (point, line, polygon), and producing professional digital maps.
