Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidy, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Role of Hope in Reducing Suicide.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturers Rawad Fadhil Abdul, Ali Qahtan Falih, and Wissam Karim Rashid.
The seminar, which was dedicated to students of the college, included scientific and awareness-raising topics that focused on promoting mental health concepts and highlighting the most prominent factors associated with suicidal ideation, in addition to identifying early warning signs and appropriate ways to deal with them. She also highlighted the importance of the role of the family and the university environment in providing psychological support to students, and encouraging them to seek assistance from relevant authorities when needed.
