Assistant Lecturer Radwan Ali Katea, a faculty member at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, published a scientific paper in collaboration with faculty members from the University of Mosul and the University of Hilla, in addition to two faculty members from Al-Qadisiyah University: Professor Abbas Al-Naili and Professor Hassan Al-Shamsi from the College of Education. The paper, titled “On Heterotrophic Catalysts Derived from Rice for Green Biosynthesis,” was published in the journal Molecular Diversity, published by Springer Nature, and indexed in the first quartile (Q1) of Scopus and Clarivate.
The research presented a focused overview of the latest developments in using materials derived from rice waste as heterotrophic catalysts in green biosynthesis, emphasizing their importance as low-cost and environmentally friendly resources. The efficiency of these materials in enhancing various organic reactions, their reusability, and their role in reducing environmental impact were also discussed, in line with modern green chemistry trends
