Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Biotechnology, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Wahab Al-Askari, the College of Biotechnology held a scientific seminar entitled “Combating Human Trafficking: Challenges and Recommendations.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Jian Bahel Jad’an and moderated by Mr. Hassanein Sabah Hashem.
The seminar aimed to reduce this crime by raising public awareness of its dangers and promoting legal awareness among all segments of society, especially students. It also emphasized the importance of intensifying awareness seminars and activities within universities and educational institutions. Among the most important recommendations was the necessity of strengthening cooperation between governmental and community institutions to combat this phenomenon, supporting victims of human trafficking, and encouraging the reporting of suspicious cases to contribute to their protection and ensure that perpetrators of this crime are held accountable.
